Upcoming Events

RHS is looking forward to another interesting summer!

We have several events being planned:

Memorial Day, May 31st, 9 A.M. Memorial Service at the park followed our guest speaker. Followed by free will lunch celebrating yet another wonderful year with RHS.

Come and visit us at the upcoming Blue Earth County Fair, July 39–Aug 1 at Garden City, MN. We will be in the Arcade Building with the Blue Earth Co. Historical Society.

RHS will be hosting in Rapidan a National Night Out Neighborhood potluck event on August 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at the township garage, for all interested in coming out and meeting their neighbors. We hope to have several people from local fire and safety there speaking.

Plan on attending the upcoming Centennial Celebration for the Rapidan Dam on Saturday, August 14th, the celebration will take place at the Rapidan Dam Park. There will lots of entertainment, historical display, Arts & Craft Vendors, Mankato Paddling Club, Fishing Contest, German Club will be singing, and much more.

Christmas in Rapidan will be the first Friday in December again this year. Make sure to mark your calendars and plan on coming to the Depot to visit with Santa and get your picture taken. There will be treats in the Township Hall and bags of goodies for each child.

Come see the work being done on the newly acquired “pink” Caboose. We will be working on this project for the next several years as we bring it back into historical status. If you are interested in helping with this or any project, please feel free to contact a current board member or come to one of our monthly meetings.
